Chorizos Caseros Quijote 3 oz. 2 chorizos Pack of 2
Quijote chorizo casero is the Spanish-style cured pork sausage that does the heavy lifting in a proper potaje — smoky, paprika-forward, firm enough to slice into thick coins without falling apart.
Each pack contains two 3 oz. chorizos, twin-linked in the traditional format. The cure is dry enough to eat as-is but built to release its fat and color into a long simmer.
Common Uses: sliced into garbanzos fritos, simmered in caldo gallego, layered into arroz con pollo for depth, browned with potatoes and eggs, or sliced thin onto a tabla with manchego and olives.
Pantry Role: base seasoning, cultural marker.
Cultural Context: Chorizo is the Spanish thread that runs through Cuban cooking — a holdover from gallego and asturiano grandparents who carried potaje and caldo gallego into the Cuban kitchen. In Hialeah and Little Havana households, a pack of Quijote in the fridge means Sunday potaje is one decision away.
Pairs With: garbanzos, chorizo Spanish-style beans, papas, collard greens or berza, crusty Cuban bread, a glass of Rioja.
Ships nationwide to Cuban-American households that grew up on potaje Sundays and can't reliably find proper Spanish-style chorizo outside South Florida.
