How is this different from Café Bustelo or La Llave?

All three are Cuban-style espresso roasts popular in South Florida. Pilón runs slightly smoother and less bitter than Bustelo, with a richer body than La Llave. If you're used to Bustelo and want a less sharp finish, Pilón is the natural step.

How do I brew the perfect cafecito?

Grind fine (espresso grind). Pack into your moka pot basket without tamping. Brew over medium heat. As the first drops come out, beat them in a separate cup with 2-3 tsp sugar until you get a thick, pale foam (espumita). Pour the rest of the brew over the foam. Serve in small cups.
