Badia Saffron Spanish 0.4 gm Pack of 2

$12.09

Badia Spanish Saffron is true threads of Crocus sativus stigma — the floral, earthy spice that turns rice yellow and carries the backbone of arroz amarillo and arroz con pollo.

Common Uses: steeped into broth for arroz con pollo, bloomed in warm water for arroz amarillo, simmered into caldo gallego, added to garbanzos guisados, finishing sopa de pollo with color and aroma.

Pantry Role: finishing sauce component, acid/brightness counterpart in slow-cooked dishes.

Common In: Spanish classical cooking, Cuban Sunday family dinner, Noche Buena rice dishes, Latin kitchens across the diaspora.

Pairs With: short-grain rice, chicken stock, white wine, garlic, onion, bay leaf, chorizo, garbanzos.

Sold as a pack of two 0.4 gm vials — a little goes a long way, and saffron of this grade is hard to source consistently outside specialty Latin grocers. Ships nationwide.
