What to serve with cilantro lime rice
Pairs beautifully with grilled fish (mahi-mahi, salmon, tilapia), Cuban mojo pork, lechon asado, Cuban-style grilled chicken, fajitas, tacos, or as a base for Cuban-American bowls. The lime brightens heavier proteins; the cilantro adds fresh herb depth.
Cilantro lime vs Spanish yellow rice — which when?
Cilantro lime is the lighter, brighter rice — best with fish, lighter meats, and Mexican-Cuban fusion dishes. Spanish yellow rice (with bijol/saffron) is richer and more savory — best with chicken, pork, and traditional Cuban arroz con pollo.
